Rosabella (Rose) Reyes

The Visionary (Founder, CEO)

Rose served for 31 years as a prosecutor with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, the largest prosecutorial office in the United States. During her time in the Juvenile Division, she witnessed firsthand how many children facing the justice system came from homes marked by neglect, abuse, or abandonment. That experience planted a deep desire in her heart to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.

In retirement, Rose turned that desire into action. Returning to her parents’ hometown of Sorsogon in the Philippines, she saw the overwhelming need for a safe and nurturing home for children without one. With passion, determination, and decades of experience serving families, she founded Global Youth Vision of Hope to bring a brighter future to these children.

Rose has been married for 52 years and is a proud grandmother of five. She also helps care for her granddaughter with autism, which keeps her based primarily in the United States. Through technology and trusted partners on the ground in Sorsogon, she actively oversees the work of building and managing the orphanage.

Rose places the highest value on transparency, accountability, and collaboration. She works closely with her dedicated team in both the U.S. and the Philippines, and ensures that supporters stay informed at every stage of the project.
