Our Commitment to Stewardship

At Global Youth Vision of Hope, we believe trust is built through openness. Every gift you give is used with integrity and care. That’s why we’ve created this page — to share how donations are used, the progress we’ve made, and how we hold ourselves accountable.

Where Your Money Goes

Global Youth Vision of Hope is currently in Phase I: Building the Home.

Our immediate focus is creating a strong foundation for the future children's home in Sorsogon, Philippines. While construction is temporarily paused as we complete the land title process, important work continues every day to prepare for the next stage.

Today, donations help support activities such as:

  • Land development and site preparation

  • Farm development and long-term sustainability initiatives

  • Engineering, planning, and project readiness

  • Legal, permitting, and organizational development related to the future home

  • Other Board-approved Phase I expenses that move the project forward

We remain committed to using donor support responsibly and transparently. As construction begins, we will continue sharing updates on how funds are being invested and the progress being made.

Project Progress

Although construction of the residential home is temporarily on hold, the project continues to move forward.

Progress to Date

✓ Land acquired in Sorsogon

✓ Initial site preparation completed

✓ Local builder and project partners identified

✓ Architectural plans completed for the first phase of development

✓ Farm development underway to support long-term sustainability

✓ Relationships established with local community leaders, social workers, and partner organizations

✓ Ongoing planning and legal work to prepare for construction

Current Focus

Our priority is completing the remaining land title requirements so construction can begin as soon as legally permitted. During this time, we are continuing to invest in the farm and other foundational work that strengthens the long-term success of the project.

We believe that building well is more important than building quickly. Every step we take today helps create a stronger, more sustainable future for the children we hope to serve.

Partnerships & Accountability

We are committed to working hand in hand with:

  • DSWD Region V to ensure compliance with child welfare standards

  • Local government units and schools to support education and family outreach

  • Community leaders and churches to ensure long-term sustainability

  • Spectrum Therapy Center - Sorsogon to provide support for immediate need for a child needing sponsorship for care

Safeguarding Commitment

The safety and dignity of every child is our highest priority. Global Youth Vision of Hope will follow strict safeguarding policies, in line with DSWD guidelines and international best practices.
