Dear Friends & Supporters,

Every time I return to the Philippines, I see more children wandering the streets alone — abandoned, neglected, or simply forgotten. The statistics say there are as many as 7 million orphans across the country, but what moves me most are the faces I see right in Sorsogon, Bicol - who have nowhere to turn. This is where my heart tells me I need to be.

I spent over 30 years as a prosecutor in Los Angeles. My work in the Juvenile Division showed me just how powerful love, care, and guidance can be in shaping a child’s future. Since retiring, I’ve felt a deep calling to return home and do something for the children I’ve carried in my heart all these years.

That dream is now becoming real. I started the Global Youth Vision of Hope.

Together with my husband, Mark, we purchased land in Sorsogon. Our dream is to build not just an orphanage, but a true community — a small village where children can feel safe, nurtured, and loved. An organic farm will help feed and sustain the community while teaching life skills. More importantly, it will be a place where children can laugh, heal, learn, and discover that they are not alone and that their lives have purpose.

It’s a daunting journey. I know this is a big dream, but I believe with all my heart that it can happen — with your help. Right now, what we need most is financial support to begin construction. Every dollar will go directly to building a safe and loving space for these children. Your support will not just build walls and roofs, but futures filled with hope.

This mission has been burning in me for decades, and I believe it is what God placed me here to do. I ask you to join me in planting this seed of hope so it can grow into something beautiful and lasting — a harvest of strong, joyful, and resilient young lives.
