Our Vision
Every child deserves a place to belong and the opportunity to build a hopeful future.
GYVOH is developing a family-style children's home and learning farm in Sorsogon where care, food, education, practical skills, sustainability, and community work together.
We are beginning with the land and farm while preparing for the future home—building deliberately, learning as we go, and creating a foundation designed to serve children for generations.
Rooted in the community. Built for the future.
Bicol is a region of strong communities, deep agricultural roots, and remarkable resilience. It is also a place where many children and families face economic hardship and where access to stable care, education, and opportunity can be limited.
GYVOH chose Sorsogon because we believe meaningful change begins by becoming part of a community—not simply building something in it.
Our vision is to create a place where children who need residential care can experience safety, stability, and belonging. But our hope extends beyond the walls of the home.
The GYVOH Learning Farm will help grow nutritious food for the children, teach practical agricultural and life skills, and over time create responsible sources of income that help strengthen the organization’s long-term sustainability. As the farm develops, we hope it can also become a place for learning and partnership—sharing knowledge and creating opportunities for young people throughout the surrounding community.
A small home can still have a wide reach.
We believe residential care should remain personal and family-like. That means the number of children who live at GYVOH may intentionally remain small. But the number of young people who benefit from what is built here does not have to be.
Through the home, the farm, practical education, and partnerships with local organizations, GYVOH can create a place where children belong, knowledge is shared, and opportunity continues to grow.
This is why Bicol—and why we believe the land can become much more than a place to build a home.
